Messier Marathon

Check off objects as you observe them, jot a brief note in the inline field, and watch the progress bar advance. The log remembers everything between sessions. Use the 🌙 Night Mode toggle (top right) at the telescope to preserve your dark adaptation — red text on near-black causes no eye strain.

When you're done, export your log as a CSV from the ☰ Log menu.

Click the ✎ button on any object to open the full observation record — date, time, site, seeing, transparency, limiting magnitude, telescope, eyepiece, and a written description. The red-filled ✎ icon shows at a glance which records are complete.

Before an observing session, use ☰ Log → Session Setup to set location and equipment once — those values auto-fill every record you open that night. When ready, generate your submission PDF from the Log menu.
